This song made the N1M Christian Pop chart, to #4 in the US & #24 in the World! That's something to dance about, although I totally missed the Woodstock era so this is my, very tardy, contribution! It's a free-loving jam with a dead-head vibe of praise and a brand new happy acoustic view! I wrote it for the nature-loving people who smile with kindness, tolerance, and always find a place in their hearts for the community of all humanity that finds a place in the sun for a prayer. Let's dance! (Lyrics follow)

This recording qualifies as one made while relaxed and hanging out on couches (except Joe who likes to stand while performing, lol.). ENJOY!
We've got Mike Doyle on Lead Guitar, Joe Clapp on Acoustic Bass, and Me, Colette O'Connor, on Rhythm Guitar/vocals.

Lyrics

Hippy was a church man
Flowers in his style
He had a little sister
Who was a flower child.
They went down by the river and took some time to pray
While the sunshine danced
On a sunny day.

Hippy dance hippy dance
like a child of nature in the wind
Hippy dance in peace and love
Make them all into a
a sunny day. (interlude)

Hippy was a church man
Since he was a child
Found Jesus in the forest
saw angels in the wild
He went down by the river and took some time to pray
While the sunshine danced on a sunny day.

Hippy dance hippy dance
like a child of nature in the wind
Hippy dance in peace and love
Make them all into a
a sunny day. (interlude)

Hippy and his sister
Have a carefree style
Grew up in the heartland
Those Holy rolling miles
They went down by the river
And took some time to pray
While the sunshine danced on a sunny day
While the sunshine danced on a sunny day.
