Empathy happens. I've been that counter help. I've been that street performer. The lines between us blur. The newsprint of every morning paper fades lives into lines of grey chalk outlines...a sea of humanity drowning in addiction, pain, apathy. Pain is invisible sometimes. A smile helps another know they are seen. A dollar helps another bear the pressure of pursuing a dream. Walk a mile for understanding. I sip my coffee, and try to be the change I wish to see in the world.
